Vintage Chad Valley Teddy Bear. No label mohair Hugmee toy 17 inches. England

Early Chad Valley Teddy Bear c1950/60's era. This mohair English Teddy has been well loved over the years. He has a non working squeaker and shows.

Well loved wear and a bald patch. Around the tummy area from the squeaker being pressed over the years. Teddy is a large fellow being 17 inches (43cms) tall.

Teddy's mohair has thinned and flatten out in several places. Being a bit grubby from played with wear and he has. A few stitches on one ear.

I would say he was more than likely carried by this ear. Teddy's paw pads also show some worn wear being a firm. Combination a straw/excelsior and flock fill. He has plastic eyes and his nose and mouth stitching. Would probably have been redone at one time. He is a'boofy hugmee' style of Bear being. A Chad Valley / Chiltern toy.

There are no tags or labels with him being. This Bear has a lot of character about him.

And I'm sure would have some interesting stories to tell. For many years he has been sitting on.
