Teddy Bears Wednesday NOGGIN Bear by Jess McCaughey OOAK Mohair 10 Jointed
A rare, one of a kind teddy from bear and stuffed animal artist, Jess McCaughey. She used to sell teddy bears on Etsy under the name Teddy Bears Wednesday, and all her bears had a metal button with "TBW" on the leg. In recent years, she's focused more on other animals instead of teddy bears, so her earlier works are in high demand. His descriptive certificate says: Oh the Noggin (also excepts Noggs or Noggin).
The Noggin is really a very unique bear, his own sort of creature really, he's part bear, part sparrow part echidna. He has a gruff little bear's growl of a voice, like Kermit the frog with a heavy sore throat, and a funny little amble when he walks. The Noggin is the wonkiest bear i've made to date and one of my favourites. The Noggin is fully jointed made from a hand dyed mohair is fully jointed, has glass eyes aand stiped cotton pads. He is stuffed with a mixture of excelsior, wool and plastic beads to give him a lovely squidgy feel.
He has been extensively aged to give him to the look and feel of an old bear. The Noggin is inspired by a funny old wonky steiff bear. He comes dressed in his dapper outfit of knitted duffle and kerchief (both removable for the days the Noggin feels like being Nudey Noggin). Noggs has been treasured, kept in perfect condition in a smoke-free home.
