Superb Large Antique Merrythought Mohair Jointed Teddy Bear 26 W/ Button & Label 1930s. This wonderful bear is fully jointed and has amber and black glass eyes, black stitched nose and mouth, webbed claw stitching to hands, three stitched claws to both feet, and felt pads.
He has long mohair fur and a clipped muzzle. Merrythought label to foot and Merrythought button to ear. Blue ribbon and wishbone brooch. One ear appears to have been restitched on, one eye mottled, the squeaker is inoperative, there are a few old moth holes to the hand pads and some discolouration to all four pads, small tear to muzzle above nose, fading/ discolouration to fur, generally good mohair coverage but there is a bald spot where his squeaker is situated, would benefit from a light clean. Joints in good working order. Button in good condition with some discolouration, some fading to label.
