HUMPHREY, Antique Hand Made Teddy Bear by PAT MURPHY, Mohair, Original Hang Tag
Humphrey's "birth" came about as the result of me finding an antique mohair child's coat at a place called Webb's Antique Mall in Centerville, Indiana. Webb's has since seen a change in ownership and name, but Humphrey's roots remain the same. When I found that coat, my first thought was that it would make a beautiful bear and that Pat Murphy would be the perfect person to oversee Humphrey's creation.
Humphrey is 14 tall and wears an aged vintage shirt collar. He was born in 1999 technically making him 22 years old, but due to the age of his fur, he is more antique than vintage.
I have been very fortunate to have him with me for every one of those 22 years. Humphrey is well on his way to becoming a precious heirloom that can be passed down through the years from one family member to the next. He proudly offers the following features.
Pellet / Polyfil / Excelsior stuffing. Humphrey is a cute and whimsical bear and I hope he will be adopted by a special person who will love and appreciate him as he deserves.
