Gorgeous Whopping 28 1930's Golden Mohair Merrythought Teddy Bear Label/Repairs

This stunning, huge 28+ antique/vintage Merrythought teddy bear was made in the 1930's and although he has some obvious signs of wear and repairs, he is still a fabulous old bear with fairly good mohair coverage. His glass eyes are original, as is his nose/mouth and some claws stitching. These oversize antique teddies were often made with a centre head seam and my boy has a centre seam in his lovely face. He is soft filled with original Kapok and also, some possibly later replacement stuffing. Luckily, because he is soft filled, he is not as heavy as he might look. In a couple of the photographs, this beautiful teddy is seen modelling a vintage collapsible top hat made by Samuel Mortlock & Son.
