FABULOUS ANTIQUE 1910's TERRY'S TERRY TOYS GOLD MOHAIR TEDDY BEAR SOFT TOY

Fabulous and rare Terry's golden mohair teddy bear. Is in good condition for his age with some small damages but nothing that detracts too badly from. Ted has a good coverage of his golden mohair with slight overall thinning and. A couple of bare patches above his nose and on his left arm which you can see in the photos.

I would still estimate he has retained approximately 90% coverage overall. Most of his original features are intact, but his amber and black glass eyes are vintage replacements. And although they suit him well enough, the originals would have been larger with painted backs.

His felt pads are slightly worn on his paws and missing on his feet but they are underlined with pink. Cotton silk pads which are in fairly good condition with just a few small holes which are not leaking any. His feet are also carded so he is just about able to stand upright although he is very wobbly!

He really is a gorgeous looking bear with a pronounced hump, upturned snout and a lovely schlumpy. Terry bears were only made for a fairly short period so they are hard to come by and this.

Bear is in better condition than most from this period, particularly considering he is over 100 years old.
