Antique 1930s Teddy Bear from English Museum in a Prince of Wales Vintage Outfit

MUSEUM COLLECTION ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR CIRCA 1930s. English Museum Collection Vintage Teddy Bear. Ask for more close-up photographs. A really nice Antique 1930s Teddy Bear from the English Museum Collection. From the owner's private collection (down-sizing as retiring).

This is a wonderful Antique 1930s gold mohair, jointed teddy bear. Dressed as a British Royal, The Prince of Wales.

The Prince of Wales Antique Circa 1930 British teddy bear with antique Prince of Wales pin. Good vintage condition with age appropriate wear and overall mohair loss. Fully jointed, with a loosely jointed neck. Any restoration and repairs were done by the Museum including stitching to his back and recovered paw pads. Some of his original foot pad claws still visible (ask for close-ups).

Small mark on right footpad. Dressed in his fancy antique Prince of Wales houndstooth jacket with trimming and many antique pins, all included.

This antique jacket is an absolute work of art, with yellow-gold lining and antique buttons. The Prince also comes with his display props: an Original Antique Gentleman's Set consisting of an Edwardian leather collar box with collars, a leather stud box with studs. Note: This Antique teddy bear has not been restored by us and is in the Original condition he was in, as displayed in the Museum.

The bear comes with a Museum Authenticity Card (see photograph). In 1994 the Tetbury Teddy Bear Museum in the Cotswolds, England, closed and John McBride bought many of the wonderful teddy bears and props. A huge collection of antique and vintage teddy bears, toys and teddy bear-related books.
