19 ANTIQUE EARLY AMERICAN 1910s MOHAIR TEDDY BEAR, BOOT BUTTON EYES, EXCELSIOR. Grover is an early American (1910s), pre-World War I Teddy Bear in very good condition. He is fully jointed, has tan mohair and is completely stuffed with excelsior. His eyes are wood shoe buttons and he has a slight hump back. Grover has retained his original dark brown, horizontal nose and mouth stitching which are intact.
His original wool felt paw pads are also in great shape. Upper left paw pad has a small area where the excelsior shows through.
