His long arms and pronounced snout give him a classic, antique appeal, which has been enhanced by Steiff artisans who added sculpting around the muzzle and airbrushed accents to his face and inner ears. Even his mohair coat is an exact re-creation of a fabric from a century ago. Teddy Roosevelt's signature has been embroidered on the left foot pad.
