Gorgeous vintage/antique Golden Mohair Plush Teddy Bear by Richard Diem Lise-Lotte DDR 15 inches or 38 cm tall 11 inches or 28 cm tall sitting Working growler, wheezes at times Pale golden glass eyes, no chips Fully jointed Flat carded feet so he stands very well Stitched nose, and 3 claws on each paw One ear has been resewn with large stitches in slightly the wrong place c1940s to 1950s no ID No fading, no mohair plush wear, no soiling, no stains Firmly stuffed Bear weighs 1lb 4oz before packaging Richard Diem was founded in 1896 in Sonneburg, Thuringia Germany. Richard died in 1938, his son in 1946, his daughter-in-law Lise-Lotte continued to run the business until 1976 when the GDR/DDR closed the business and incorporated it into their own VEB toy business.
